In Europe, North America, China, and Japan, the organization has built corporate and donor relationships to promote sustainable product uptake.

In Malawi, Solidaridad has recognized the strategic importance of the country, citing the hard work and dedication of its farmers.

"Malawi has a potential because farmers are hard workers who believe in agriculture," said Andre de Freitas, Executive Director of the Solidaridad Network.

De Freitas said to tap into this potential, Solidaridad has implemented various projects, including training over 2,400 farmers in Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) through the PFC Soybean Project.

He said Solidaridad's has also supported for the cotton sector, leading to production of 160 tons of cotton seed which has been distributed to 40,000 farmers.

The Executive Director said the efforts aim to increase market uptake of sustainable products, ultimately benefiting small-scale farmers.

He said the organization has partnered with Cargill to advance action on climate, land use, and livelihoods in soy and palm oil supply chains.

"This partnership has reached over 2,000 farmers in five countries, promoting sustainable practices and improving farmer livelihoods.

"In addition to its on-the-ground projects, Solidaridad is committed to addressing global supply chain challenges," said De Freitas.

He added that the organization recognizes the need for sustainable and responsible supply chains, working with companies, governments, and other stakeholders to promote sustainable practices.
