Unilia Vice Chancellor optimistic for MI2GON PTE LTD partnership

Mzuzu-The Vice Chancellor (VC) for the University of Livingstonia (UNILIA), Rev. Associate Prof. Timothy Kabulunga Nyasulu, has expressed optimism that the collaboration between the university and MI2GON PTE LTD of Singapore, will strengthen the academic relationship between the two institutions of higher learning.

The remarks by the VC come as the Director of MI2GON PTE LTD, Mizukawa Satoshi, jetted into the country to pay a courtesy visit to the university last week.
Speaking during a management meeting with Satoshi and the Departmental heads across the University, Associate Prof. Nyasulu said the partnership would also help reshape the university’s academic and operational landscape.
He said a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) is currently being drafted, which would strengthen key areas of the institution, including the Department of Research, Academic Affairs, the Voice of Livingstonia Radio, and the health department.
"An MOU is currently underway with the institution to see to it that we strengthen key areas at our University, including department of research, academic affairs, Radio as well as health department," said Professor Nyasulu.
The Director of MI2GON PTE LTD, Mizukawa Satoshi, said was happy to come to Malawi and that once the agreements between the two institutions are finalized, more departments will benefit..
"Several departments within the University are expected to benefit as this will help open doors for other stakeholders in Singapore to come and invest in the country," said Satoshi.
