Police in the Northern District of Chitipa have arrested five people for allegations that they took part in the murder of a 25 years - old Jailosi Simfukwe in the district.

According to Public Relations Officer at chitipa Police Station Surgent Rabson Mkandawire confirmed of the arrest after a fully investigation conducted in the district.
The PRO said the victim, Simfukwe, was invited the home of one of the suspects to buy chickens but upon arrival, the suspect called his friends and accused Simfukwe of theft.
“It has been held that Louis sichalwe aged 53 ,Chimwemwe Malanga aged 29 of Chitala Village, gabriel Mwigha aged 50 of Nang’omba Village, Symon Mugode of aged 53 of Iyela Village and lyson Chiona Junior aged 25 of Sungamazi Village in the area of senior chief mwabulambya in Chitipa District during interrogations they admitted to have been involved in the commission of the offence," said Mkandawire.
How ever police in the district have warned the people against taking laws in their hands.
