MZIHA urge participants at Umtheto cultural Festival to avoid party colours amid electoral campaigns

Mzimba Heritage Association (MZIHA) has called on the attendees coming to cerebrate at this year's Umtheto cultural Festival to prioritize unity over party affiliations.

The call was made on the sidelines of Umtheto cultural festival cerebrations which starts today at Hora Mountain in Mzimba district.
The festival, which runs from 6 to August 9, 2025, aims to promote Mzimba's rich cultural heritage under the theme,"Cultural diversity, the foundation for peaceful coexistence and development.
Kingsley Jere secretary general for MZIHA, emphasized the importance of avoiding and party colors to maintain the festival's cultural focus.
"As the Mzimba people, we need to prioritize our culture and heritage and with this being an election year, we appeal aims to ensure that the festival remains a celebration of Mzimba's traditions, rather than a platform for political displays.
The Umtheto cultural festival is expected to attract a large crowd, and MZIHA's call for neutral attire seeks to promote unity and cultural pride among attendees.
