The Foundation made the donation to 15 students on Thursday this week and further called on more well wishers to take an active role to support more students at the institution.

Speaking during an interview with Good Morning Africa News, the Director of Children with Potential Foundation Aston Kayange said he felt duty bound to assist with fees after the students raised an alarm on their situation.

"I thought to take part and assisted 15 learners with tuition, with an average of K112,000 per student. The Foundation is not funded and I am using my own money to assist the students. Let me call out to more well wishers to come forward to assist to ensure the students achieve their goals," said Kayange.

However kayange said the tuition for one term is already been paid to this second cohort.

One of the students at kasama community technical college Hatry Mwanyongo, studying Edible Horticulture to thanked the foundation for the support and called for more well-wishers to lend a hand.

“The foundation has been there for us but at times they cannot manage give us everything that we might need and this also affects us a lot," said Mwanyongo.
