NBM donates desks, text books to Chitipa Model primary school worth MWK 10 million

The National Bank of Malawi (NBM) has donated assorted items worth MWK 10 million at Chitipa Model Primary school with an aim to motivate learners to work hard in their Education.

The items which include desks, text books, books and buckets will go along way to assist the learners in their day-to-day activities at the school.


Team leader for Chitipa National Bank branch Auckland Mjima said the bank felt duty bound to assist in the educational sector since learners are the future of the nation.


"We thought to take a responsibility to assist the learners with this donation of books , text books, buckets and desks as part of our appreciation to customers but also considering that the future of the nation lies in the learner.


"I would like to request the teachers and learners to take care of these items so that they last long," said Mjima.


The Primary Education Advisor for Kawale zone Jane Mukumbwa appreciated the initiative brought by the national Bank saying it is vital and will motivate the learners to work hard in their education.

The items involves 2000 books, 400 text book's, 400 buckets and 50 desks.
