Speaking during an interaction with Nyika Media Club on Wednesday, PFN Chief Executive Officer Vasco Madhlopa said the organization decided to assist the school after seeing pictures circulating on social media showing students sleeping on worn-out mattresses.
Madhlopa emphasized that providing new mattresses would not only improve the students' comfort but also motivate them to perform better academically.
"If students are sleeping on poor-quality beds and mattresses, it negatively impacts their ability to concentrate and succeed in their studies," said Madhlopa.
He further encouraged any form of assistance, whether monetary donations or direct mattress contributions, to help alleviate the challenges the school is facing.
PFN aims to donate 500 mattresses to the school.
