Through a project supported by the Rodden Berry Foundation's, called "Enhancing Food Security at Household Level" initiative, the project provides crucial farm inputs to vulnerable individuals, empowering them to rebuild their livelihoods and foster long-term food security.

Chinula said the donation has been brought to help families struggling to make ends meet amidst the devastating hunger crisis.

"We're grateful for this assistance, which will help alleviate the struggles our community faces.

"I urge everyone to take farming seriously, as it is a key to building resilient communities and driving district development,"said Chinula

One of the beneficiaries, Eunice Zgambo, echoed Chinula's sentiments, expressing her gratitude for the organisation's support.

"We often go to bed without food, which affects our health but thanks to Mzimba Youth Organisation, we now have a lifeline to rely on,"said Zgambo.

Executive Director of Mzimba Youth Organisation, Moses Nkhanza emphasized the organisation's commitment to supporting vulnerable communities.

"We are dedicated to helping those in need, and this donation is just the beginning and we have also provided farm inputs, including fertilizers, for the 2024-2025 season to help families rebuild their livelihoods."
