UTM vows to fight use of smartmatic machine during 2025 elections

The President for United Transformation Movement (UTM), Dalitso Kabambe, has vowed to fight the use of smartmatic machine during the 2025 general elections saying the system is prone to fraud.

Kabambe made the revelation on Monday during whistle stop tour in Mzimba aimed at encourage eligible citizens to register with MEC ahead of the elections.

Speaking during the tour, the UTM leader faulted the use of smartmatic system saying the party will continue protesting against the use of the machine.

Kabambe said according to evidence they have shows that the machine is a fraud.

"We shall continue to protest against the use of the machine because the evidence, information and knowledge we have gathered shows that the system has many challenges and it can be used to fraud the elections," said Kabambe.

Kabambe further urged people in the country not to register twice saying it is a criminal and against the law.

He advised Malawians to register in large numbers in order to vote for the right leaders such the UTM stressing that the party has clear developmental vision for the betterment of the country.
