The Mzimba Youth Organization has issued a strong warning to political parties to refrain from using young people to incite violence and disruption in the lead-up to the upcoming elections.

Speaking after returning from the African Union Youth Summit, Moses Nkhana, a representative of the organization, emphasized the need for peaceful and meaningful political participation.
"We are not tools to be used and discarded, we are not weapons for hire, we are leaders of today not just tomorrow and our energy must be channeled into nation-building, not destruction," said Nkhana.
Nkhanza, called on political parties to respect the power and potential of young people and to promote peace, justice, and progress and also urge politicians to focus on ideas, not violence, and to prioritize the development of Malawi.
"Mzimba youth stand for peace. we stand for development, we stand for meaningful political participation that uplifts, not destroys," he said.
He said his organization believes that the youth of Malawi can lead wisely and boldly, choosing peace over violence and vision over manipulation.
